Upgraded 290GD Turbo Diesel LWB

We used a low milage and solid vehicle for this build and upgraded and calibrated the original OM602 2.9L to Turbo Diesel by adding a different diesel pump to operate the Turbo.

We went from 92Hp to approximately 137Hp, so you can imagine the difference in performance. The engine is mated to a 5-speed overdrive transmission for a lower rpm and using bigger tires as in original which lowers rpm even more !

We repainted the vehicle inside- and out, zink- and powder coated almost all black parts including the ring, added the rear seats and jump seats and used original Mercedes cloth upholstery for all seats.

Using a lot of new parts like mirrors and frames, bumper and caps, all trim, all locks and handles, rain gutter trim, tires, rubber seals, front tinted window etc.

The rear single seats and jump seats were added and it’s all upholstered with original cloth material, the door panels are new as well.

New 235/85/16 Toyo MT tires all around, on zink- and powdercoated 16” rims.
